Now DocCom will compete against 17 other entrepreneurs and spin-out companies from across the European Union and countries affiliated with the European Union’s 7th Framework Program for research. Final judging will take place on 3 February at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. The awards celebrate the abilities of Europe’s research sector at finding creative ways to get their discoveries out of the lab and into the marketplace.
Reaching the finals is the latest coup for DocCom, which was also recently selected by the Technology Strategy Board as one of 20 Emerging Healthcare Technology Company to be showcased in California in January, paving the way for an eventual US launch. DocCom has been named by the prestigious Future Health Mission as one of the most promising emerging UK healthcare technology companies.
Nick Sturge, SETsquared Centre Director, said: “Two awards in one week for DocCom demonstrates the quality of the business and its leadership. This new international dimension is an exciting time for the business and we look forward to assisting DocCom as they progress.”
